Print Hints

  • Material: PETG
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Works well with default slicer settings.
  • Some users have started testing PLA, which seems fine too — results may vary slightly depending on printer tolerance.

Sliding Lids Are Easy, But…

Sometimes the sliding lids snag a little right after printing — totally normal. Apply a bit of side pressure and move them under friction a few times; the surfaces will wear in and start sliding smoothly. A little mechanical “break-in” is all they need.

Clicks Are Hard

The “clicks” at the end of the sliding lids keep them closed, but they’re somewhat sensitive to printer tolerances — and everyone seems to prefer a slightly different feel.

The number in the file name (e.g., lid_C350_R1, lid_C400_R1) represents the click hardness, defined by the height of the bump you have to “click” over on each side — measured in micrometers (µm).

  • lid_C350_R1 → softer, easier click (350 µm bump)
  • lid_C400_R1 → firmer click (400 µm bump)

Pick the one that feels more SLICC. ;)
